Africa-Press – Eswatini. MANZINI Wanderers marriage with its top striker Fabrice Mopina is on the rocks.
The lanky Congolese striker is said to be open to other offers following the lapsing of his contract with the crowd pullers at the end of last season.
The former Mbabane Swallows and Moneni Pirates talisman spent two seasons with the team before the expiry of his contract, where he banged 17 goals for the ‘Weslians’.
A source close to the player revealed that the player was now a free agent and looking for a new team.
The source said the player was currently searching for a team in the Premier League. “He still wants to play in the country as he had a very good season, thus he is willing to polish his skills and compete for honours in the league.”
Wanderers General Manager Mlungisi ‘Mluga’ Ndzinisa said the player was currently out of the country to attend to family issues.
Contract
Ndzinisa could not divulge much but there was a hint that the player had gone to attend his father’s funeral and he promised to be back in readiness for the new season.
“We will engage the player when he comes back, for now there is nothing more I can say until we discuss his contract with the team,” said Ndzinisa.
