Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mpumalanga High Court Acting Judge Johannes Hendrickus Roelofse has issued an interim order directing the editor Zweli Martin Dlamini to give the eSwatini Government and/or King Mswati seventy-two(72) hours or three(3)days to respond to questions.
The Government through its legal representative was seeking an order to be given seven(7) days before responding however, Senior Advocate Myron Dewrance who was representing the editor and this publication argued that,seven(7) days defeat the purpose of news dissemination.
On another note, the Government under Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini administration issued a Circular Memorandum, banning all public officials from responding press and the editor.
It remains to be seen if the Government will comply with the seventy-two(72) hours as per the interim order of the court,the Judge granted the interim order on Tuesday and the matter is pending with the Mpumalanga High Court.
