Africa-Press – Eswatini. The spirit of sports and community development is set to shine once again in Mankayane as MTN Eswatini has reaffirmed its commitment to the Khemani Road Classic, contributing E350 000 towards the 11th edition of the much-loved race.

The event is scheduled for 27 September 2025, promising an even bigger and better cycling experience for local and international participants.

Speaking at the launch, MTN Eswatini CEO Wandile Mtshali emphasized the company’s dedication to nurturing sports and uplifting communities. He revealed that since the partnership began in 2013, MTN has invested over E3.5 million into the Khemani Road Classic, making it one of the longest-standing corporate-backed sporting events in the country.

“We are not just sponsoring a race; we are investing in people, in talent, and in communities,” Mtshali said.

“The Khemani Road Classic embodies resilience, discipline, and community spirit – values that resonate deeply with MTN.”

Beyond the cycling race, the event has become a symbol of unity and pride for the people of Mankayane, boosting both the sporting culture and local socio-economic initiatives.

In a spirited gesture, the CEO also threw down a challenge to local cyclists, urging them to rise to the occasion and showcase their endurance and talent on race day.

The 11th MTN Khemani Road Classic is expected to attract a diverse pool of competitors while drawing crowds eager to witness the energy, determination, and community celebration that has defined the event over the years.
