Africa-Press – Eswatini. Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane says he would love to watch the Super Clash in Ghana following Sulley Muntari’s transfer to Hearts of Oak.

The Super Clash features two of Ghana’s biggest football clubs Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, and it is among the greatest derbies in African club football.

Muntari – a former Ghana international, recently made a return to his country’s domestic football after two decades abroad playing for top European clubs such as Inter Milan and AC Milan.

The 37-year-old midfielder joined reigning Ghanaian champions, Hearts, earlier this month and he featured in Sunday’s big encounter against Asante Kotoko.

Mosimane, who is a three-time CAF Champions League title-winning coach, indicated that he is a fan of Muntari.

“I saw that the legend [Muntari] is back playing for Hearts of Oak. Muntari, what a midfielder he is! It’s always a pleasure to watch Muntari play,” Mosimane told Citi Sports.

“I would love to come to Ghana and watch the Super Clash. Next time, Insha-Allah, I’ll get an opportunity to watch Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko because I know what such a game means.”

Muntari played the entire match as Hearts and Kotoko drew 0-0 in the Ghanaian Premier League match at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium.

He began playing football at Ghanaian club Liberty Professionals’ youth team, before joining Italian side Udinese in 2001.
