Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Nhlangano AIDS Training Information and Counselling Centre (NATICC) has intensified its
fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Teenage Pregnancy (TP) by engaging the
Zombodze Emuva Constituency Council in a strategic inception meeting held at the local
Inkhundla.
The meeting introduced NATICC’s mandate and ongoing interventions while strengthening collaboration with community leaders to address social challenges.
Key stakeholders in attendance included Indvuna Yenkundla Samuel Lushaba, NATICC Executive Director Sisekelo Nzima, Community Councillors (boBucopho), and NATICC program staff.
Nzima highlighted NATICC’s commitment to GBV prevention, emphasizing the need for continuous awareness and robust reporting mechanisms to combat abuse.
He announced plansfor community dialogues in the constituency’s four chiefdoms to ensure widespread intervention.
The Constituency Council welcomed the initiative, expressing concern over rising abuse cases and the need for targeted prevention programs. Discussions covered GBV awareness, survivor reporting mechanisms, and legal frameworks, with NATICC distributing copies of the SexualOffences and Domestic Violence Act (SODVA) of 2018 and the Children’s Protection and Welfare Act (CPWA) of 2012.
As a next step, NATICC will host educational dialogues on GBV, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Violence Against Children (VAC), and TP prevention.
The organization urged community members to actively participate to enhance their knowledge and contribute to the fight against abuse.

FINCORP donates 100 dignity packs to support vulnerable children
The Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla has received a donation of 100 dignity packs worth
E10,000 from the Eswatini Development Finance Corporation (FINCORP) to support vulnerable children under the 2025 Back-to-School Campaign.
The donation was recently presented at the DPM’s Office Boardroom by FINCORP Senior Human Resources Manager Bonisile Tfwala and it included sanitary pads, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shoe polish, soap, and petroleum jelly.
Tfwala expressed appreciation for theopportunity to contribute to the campaign, noting that while FINCORP’s primary mandate is providing credit access and fostering job creation, the initiative aligns with the broader goal of poverty alleviation.
“We are pleased to have provided support valued at E10,000. While we wish we could do more, resources permitting, we sincerely hope this contribution will bring meaningful relief to the beneficiaries,” Tfwala said.
She pledged continued collaboration with the DPM’s Office to uplift communities.
Dladla commended FINCORP as the first parastatal to step forward with such a donation, emphasizing its role in restoring dignity to children who struggle to afford essential hygiene products.
“This donation will restore dignity to our children. Some of them cannot afford sanitary pads, and during that time of the month, they miss at least a week of school, leading to unnecessary failures and dropouts,” the DPM said.
