Africa-Press – Eswatini. Hhukwini MP Alec Lushaba says the new PM Russell Dlamini has a pedigree to deal with disasters.
“God pointed him towards Russell who has a fair understanding of dealing with crisis situations.
From the time he came into office as CEO at NDMA there have been crisis, amongst which hunger in 2016, floods and the COVID-19 pandemic to deal with at times with limited budget,” he said.
Lushaba said given the many challenges faced by the country, the PM had been placed at the centre of the many situations to come up with a master plan to correct many of the country’s ills. “We can only help by offering him our full support as the legislature and Emaswati and the entire government machinery to give us hope for a bright future.
We trust God will guide his hand to deliver on the mandate pronounced by His Majesty the King and the Nation. His rich CV tells us that he has been exposed to international organisations where he gained valuable experience and it is time to put it into practice,” he said.
He pointed out that what would make the nation succeed was to change the mentality or mindset from seeing the current situation as a crisis but look at it as opportunities to improve our well-being. “It is a challenge for all of us to deal with.
We need to find solutions to deal with food insecurity, health crisis and unemployment. This is our opportunity to get together to look for answers. We have had enough of the questions,” he said.
