NINE EMASWATI IN TAIPEI EXHIBITION

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Nine Emaswati have been given an opportunity to showcase their unique wares at the much-anticipated Designed Giftionery Expo in Taipei, Taiwan.

The event has been launched today (April 18, 2024) and it is expected to come to an end on April 21, 2024. This event can be likened to the Eswatini International Trade Fair. From handmade crafts to intricate textiles, these exporters are bringing a slice of Eswatini’s distinctive cultural identity to the international market, marking a significant milestone in the country’s burgeoning export sector.

The local exporters participating in the Designed Giftionery expo include a diverse array of businesses, each with its unique offering: Busy Hands, Mtrios Wood Art, Adorable Accessories, Swazi Candles, Melane Leather Investments, Swazi Secrets, Woodwork Africa, Ngwenya Glass Eswatini/Swaziland, and Fair and Square SZ, who represents Luphondvo and @quazi_design.

According to the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the ultimate goal of sponsoring the local exhibitors in the Designed Giftionery Expo is to facilitate their entry into the Asian market, broaden their horizons in the realm of export trade, and ultimately bolster their export activity. This is a strategic move aimed at empowering local businesses to tap into the lucrative Asian market, promoting their goods on a global stage, and elevating the country’s creative industry as a whole.
