Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mandla Mdluli,the newly appointed Nkhaba Indvuna has urged Mayibongwe Dlamini to approach the new Inner Council for solutions after being stopped from constructing his home.
Dlamini is among other residents who were recently stopped on allegations suggesting that, they secured the land illegally and/or without following the eSwatini Law and Custom. He told that uMphakatsi stopped him from constructing his house despite the fact that, he obtained the land through Kukhonta.
“I was allocated the land by uMphakatsi through kukhonta but now, they are telling me to stop the construction of the house,” he said.
But Indvuna Mandla Mdluli clarified the matter when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini on Monday afternoon, confirming that Dlamini and others were indeed, stopped from construction their houses.
“It’s not like we are stopping him or them permanently, we were investigating the mushrooming of homes after an illegal Libandla allocated land to people even before the official announcement of the Chief. So now, we have a new Chief and we are correcting the illegal allocation of land. Akabuye sikhulumisane akusho kutsi sewumiswe-kumiswa kutsi sekangaze ete kuMhleli, akabuye sikhulumisane,” said the Nkhaba Indvuna.
On another note, Indvuna Mdluli further clarified that, the ‘dissolved’ illegal Nkhaba Inner Council that was operating before the Chief took over as the traditional leader of the area, messed-up the traditional procedures of uMphakatsi but as the new administration, “they are trying to find solutions or possible ways” of legitimizing those who have already settled at Nkhaba.
“So we are trying to correct that, we want a stable community. I will consult with the Chief and come back to you on what will be done kodvwa akusho kutsi sebayacoshwa,” he said.
Nkhaba is under Chief Prince Mnisi, the son of Chief Prince Bhekiphi, the former Prime Minister of eSwatini who was appointed as PM by the then Liqoqo led by Prince Mfanasibili.
The late Prince Bhekimphi was the son of Prince Chief Mnisi who took over from Chief Soshangane, the late Bongani ‘Sigcokosiyancinca’ Dlamini and former Army Commander Sobantu Dlamini were born from the Nkhaba Royal Kraal.
