Africa-Press – Eswatini. Former Royal Leopard winger Bonginkosi ‘Manyovu’ Dlamini is set to receive over E120 000 ‘payout’ from Angolan side Sagrada Esparanca.
The former Sihlangu player is set to rejoin Leopard in the new season following the termination of the two-year contract signed between the two parties.
The speedy winger penned a two-year deal with a signing-on fee of E300 000 and E32 000 monthly salary.
According to a source close to the matter, the former Hub Sundowns player will take home a three-month salary pay along with a notice pay of E32 000, totalling E128 000.
“Part of the contract clause stated that Royal Leopard can retain the player if Sagrada are unhappy with some parts of the agreement. In this case, this is what Leopard did. The agreement between the two teams was signed in January 10, 2022,” revealed the source.
The player’s agent, Dingane Maduma, flatly declined to comment on the matter when contacted yesterday. “This is between the purchaser and the seller, which is Sagrada and Royal Leopard, therefore, I have no comment on the matter,”Maduma said.
Leopard General Manager Richard ‘Danka’ Fakudze said he would be in a position to comment once the player arrives in the country today.
“I am not in a better position to comment until the player gets here and we will be meeting him to get his side of the story.” he said. Efforts to get the player’s comments proved futile as he did not respond to a text message sent to him on WhatsApp. Dlamini sealed the move to the Angolan side last year after the CAF Champions League meeting between the two clubs.
