Africa-Press – Eswatini. HUB giants Manzini Wanderers have begun off-season players’ movements, as they are set to release three key players, including experienced defender Mandla Palma.

The former Sihlangu Semnikati centre back is set to be shown the exit door alongside playmaker midfielder Nhlanhla ‘Jive’ Nkosi and right-back Sibonelo ‘Mabee’ Dlamini.

Word coming from the hub giants is that the trio will not be part of the team in the 2022/23 season after a decision was reached by management. It must be mentioned that the number of players who might be off-loaded by the team is likely to increase.

“It’s now confirmed that the three players contracts will not be renewed, hence they will not be part of the Wanderers family in the 2022/23 season,” said the impeccable source.

Management Committee Chairman Mlungisi ‘Mluka’ Ndzinisa could only say it was normal that some players would not be retained in the following season, without revealing names.

“Only a few players will be released. However, I cannot reveal their names until we serve them with letters that terminate their services,” he said.

Ndzinisa added that they would also beef up their squad, ahead of the new season.

“We have identified certain players to strengthen our squad. If all goes well, we will conclude talks with them and their teams before the upcoming Bible Society Cup,” he said.

The hub giants have also introduced membership cards for their supporters. It was said that silver, gold and platinum cards will be available for the throngs of supporters to choose from. With the membership fees, the team is on a mission to raise E1 million from the over 10 000 registered supporters.

The crowd pulling side did not have a good start in the MTN Premier League, hence they occupied position six by the close of the tightly-contested campaign.
