Reached for comments, Colani Hlatswayo, the Coordinator of One Billion Rising Africa said as an organization that advocates for the rights of women and children they were happy to see men in leadership advocating for laws that sought to discourage Gender Based Violence(GBV).

“As One Billion Rising we are happy to see men in leadership advocating for such laws that discourage violence. These issues of child maintenance contribute to Gender Based Violence because people end killing each other in child maintenance battles,” she said.
