Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) Chaplaincy Region hosted a special festive prayer service 17 December 2025, at Police Headquarters under the theme “Standing Firm in Justice, Serving with Mercy,”
The theme was drawn from Ephesians 6:13, and the event brought together officers from across the country. It was attended by the National Commissioner of Police, Vusie Manoma Masango.
Commissioner Masango expressed heartfelt gratitude to the invited Reverend Grace Masilela for leading the service. He urged officers to remain steadfast in their duties throughout the festive season, reminding them to place their trust in God as a source of strength and guidance while serving and protecting the community.
Reverend Grace Masilela, invited to lead the service, delivered an inspiring message based on Isaiah 9:6-7. She encouraged the officers to remain strong in the face of challenges and assured them that they are never alone, emphasizing that God’s presence is constant in their daily work. “Trust in the Lord, especially as you serve and protect the community,” she said, highlighting the importance of faith in ensuring courage, wisdom, and resilience.
During her prayers, Reverend Masilela specifically lifted up officers who will be away from their families during the holidays, praying for their safety, well-being, and protection from harm. She also prayed for peace to prevail, asking that celebrations be free from accidents or loss of life, and that officers and the public alike enjoy a safe festive season.
The prayer service reflected a commitment to supporting officers not only in their professional duties but also spiritually and emotionally, fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility. It was a timely reminder of the critical role faith, discipline, and compassion play in sustaining a safe and peaceful society.
