Africa-Press – Eswatini. Tanele Mashwama,the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO)Lubombo Regional Treasurer and three members of the Swaziland Youth Congress (SWAYOCO) members have been released by the Simunye Magistrate Court on one thousand Rands(R1000.00) bail each.
The four have been charged for contravening the Public Order Act and with other trumped up traffic offences. The political activists were abducted and tortured by Mswati’s police for supporting PUDEMO’s International Relations Officer Siboniso Mkhabela, they had accompanied him to the Lubombo Police Regional Headquarters to demand his clothes including cellphones that were allegedly grabbed by the police during a roadblock.
Sakhile Awuviva Nxumalo, the SWAYOCO President condemned Mswati’s regime for the ridiculous charges against their comrades including minors.
“Makhosetive is prepared to continue with intimidating Swazis in their communities not to rise against him.But as SWAYOCO we are prepared for anything and we will be scaling up the gears up until the regime becomes uncertain about tomorrow,”said the SWAYOCO President.
