Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Regional Development Fund (RDF) has contributed a development of up to E10 million to Maseyisini Inkhundla in a space of two years.

Since 2023, the RDF has contributed over E10 million towards 12 other projects in Maseyisini Inkhundla, demonstrating ongoing commitment to regional development.

On August 8, 2025, Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development, Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, officially handed over two new educational facilities at Nzongomane High School in Maseyisini Inkhundla, Shiselweni Region. The facilities include:

– An administration block

– A block of three classrooms

These were funded through the Government’s Regional Development Fund (RDF), with a total investment of E2.8 million for these facilities.

– King’s Development initiatives using RDF: The Minister expressed gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III for commissioning the RDF, which aims to alleviate poverty and improve communities across Eswatini’s four regions.

– Government priorities: The Minister sees government as an organisation that prioritises improving the quality of life for all Eswatini citizens, especially those in rural and remote areas, ensuring no one is left behind.

– Beauty of Tinkhundla system: The Tinkhundla System of Governance promotes socio-economic development through democratic principles, with community involvement in organising and benefiting from development funds.

– Relations between elected officials and communities: The Minister said the handover symbolised healthy relations and engagement between elected officials and their communities, emphasising the importance of feedback, accountability, and collective responsibility to foster peace and stability.

This event highlights the government’s dedication to inclusive development and the empowerment of local communities through infrastructure and governance initiatives.
