Ruby Jubilee Celebrations Pass Without Major Incidents

Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Ministry of Health has confirmed that His Majesty King Mswati III’s 40th Ruby Jubilee celebrations, held from April 25–27, 2026, concluded without any major health incidents, with only minor cases recorded and successfully managed by deployed medical teams across various centres nationwide.

During the national event, Matron Angeline Mncina reported that health services functioned smoothly throughout the celebrations. She said healthcare personnel were strategically stationed at key venues and responded promptly to all reported cases, ensuring that attendees received immediate attention where necessary.

Mncina noted that most of the cases attended to involved minor health concerns such as headaches, fatigue, dehydration, and slight injuries. She added that all patients were treated on site, without any complications or the need for hospital admission.

According to information sourced from the JTM Media Facebook page, the Ministry of Health established fully equipped medical stations supported by ambulances and referral systems to nearby health facilities to handle any emergencies that could have arisen during the large-scale gatherings. Teams of trained nurses, paramedics, and environmental health officers were deployed to continuously monitor public health conditions throughout the festivities.

In addition to treatment services, health officials conducted awareness campaigns encouraging the public to stay hydrated, maintain hygiene, and seek early medical attention when feeling unwell. Sanitation and crowd management measures were also strengthened to reduce potential health risks during the celebrations.

The Ministry attributed the success of the health operations to thorough planning, effective coordination with emergency services, and responsible conduct by the public throughout the event.

The smooth delivery of health services during the Ruby Jubilee reflects Eswatini’s improving capacity to manage major national events while prioritising the safety and well-being of its citizens.
