Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Eswatini Post and Teleco-mmunications Corporation (EPTC) has tasked CBI Electric with the supply and delivery of copper cables, a tender worth E 61 165 688.25.
In an intention to award listed on the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA), the company scored 95.3 per cent to become the best evaluated tenderer among the six evaluated. The competitors were Powertel (SA), Solgate (SA), ERG Swaziland (Eswatini), Norvatis (Eswatini) and Advanced Technologies (Eswatini).
It was mentioned that the company was awarded the tender in terms of Section 45 of the Public Procurement Act No.7 of 2011(the Act), following a competitive bidding process.
However, it must be noted in terms of Section 45(2) of the Act, the above contract award decision does not constitute a contract.
Further, in terms of Section 45(4), 46 and 47 of the Act, All tenderers who submitted bids were hereby notified that a period of 10 working days was allowed for submission of any application for review from the date of first publication of the notice. The notice was first issued on Wednesday.
