SANDLA, CORPORATION DRAW 1–1 IN PLAY-OFF CLASH

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Sandla and Corporation played to a 1–1 draw in a tightly contested play-off match at Msunduza, keeping both sides in the race for advancement to the Super League sponsored by Mandla Mahewe.

Sandla took the lead in the first half after finding space in attack and finishing a well-worked move to go ahead 1–0 before the break.

Corporation responded in the second half with improved intensity, pushing forward and eventually finding the equaliser to restore parity at 1–1.

Sandla coach Andile Dludlu said his team executed their game plan well in the opening stages.

“The game plan was to study Corporation and understand how they operate so that we could identify their weaknesses,” he said.He added that the team created chances but could not secure all three points.

“We believe we can beat them in the next game. The players listened and we created chances,” he said.

Corporation coach Mhlonishwa Dlamini described the match as evenly balanced, saying both sides had opportunities. “It was a 50-50 game. We had chances but were slow and left too many open spaces,” he said.

Dlamini added that his team improved after the break and learned important lessons from the encounter. “We picked up in the second half and learned a lot about Sandla,” he said.

The result leaves both teams still in contention as the play-off battle intensifies, with qualification hopes still wide open.

Both sides are expected to push harder in the remaining fixtures as the race for Super League promotion continues.
