Africa-Press – Eswatini. MTN National First Division side Seven Dreams players have been left in the dark since the conclusion of the 2022/23 MTN Premier League season.
The Mahlanya-based side, under the guidance of coach Bongani Mamba, was relegated to the NFD alongside Tambankulu Callies in the past season.
Reports coming from the team’s camp suggest that the technical staff and players have not begun their training in preparation for the new season, set to kick-off at the end of this month.
It is said nothing has been communicated to the players regarding these developments.
Amid internal problems that are rumoured to be engulfing the club, frustration has taken its toll among the players, such that some of them are said to be contemplating seeking greener pastures.
However, the team is racing against time to begin their pre-season camp like all other elite league and NFD teams.

A source within the team has revealed that players and coaches were now worried sick about the current situation as they did not know what the future had in store for them.
“The situation is a bit worrying now, and the players are confused. As I speak, Seven Dreams are the only team that has not started preparations for the 2023/24 season. No one has addressed the players, and they are all confused.
The team’s President Bishop Bhekibandla Vilakati last communicated with the players at the end of the previous season,” said the source.
He said they did not know what would happen because no one was communicating anything to the players.
The team’s woes are seemingly showing in the ongoing MoMo Cup voting process, as they are in the basement of the voting charts, with only 3 018, according to the latest statistics, as released by the tournament’s Management Committee.
Adding salt to the injury is that they are not represented in as far as public relations is concerned, as there is no substantive CEO/PRO to motivate supporters to vote for the team.
Bishop Vilakati said training would resume soon.
“Yes, the team has not resumed training in the meantime, but they will start soon,” he said.
Vilakati is a nominee for the Member of Parliament position for the 2023 national elections after he was nominated under Ngwempisi Constituency.
Seven Dreams gained promotion to the top fight league alongside Madlenya last season.
