Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Shiselweni Region is applauding a successful run of the 2025 Grade 7 examinations, which started on November 3, 2025. Education officials and school heads have praised the smooth process, strong preparation, and solid collaboration between teachers and parents.

Education Regional Inspector for Shiselweni, Siboniso Gumbi, said learners handled the Competence-Based Education (CBE) examinations with confidence. “The exams went very well. Competence-Based Education was not a problem because learners have been introduced to it from the lower grades,” he said.

“We also commend the strong collaboration between parents and teachers, which contributed to the success of the exams.”

Headteachers in the region also expressed optimism. Muntu Dlamini, Headteacher of Evelyn Baring Primary School, said they expect strong performance from their learners.

“We expect good results from our learners. As teachers, we have done everything possible to prepare them from the beginning of the year until the end,” he said.

Ngwane Practising School, Headteacher Ephraim Dlamini said the examinations reflect the school’s continued culture of excellence.

“The exams were a success for us. It is our tradition to produce good results each year, and 2025 will be no different,” he said. “We expect all 127 of our learners to pass to secondary school.”

Last year, the Shiselweni Region was ranked number two among the country’s four regions. The region has 144 primary schools, all contributing to its strong performance.

As marking continues, Shiselweni awaits the 2025 results with confidence in the dedication of learners, teachers, and supportive parents.
