Africa-Press – Eswatini. As a build-up to the weekend derby involving arch-rivals Mbabane Highlanders and Swallows, the ‘Black Bull’ is on the verge of reuniting with their former coach Selaotse ‘Sly’ Mosala to strengthen its squad.

This comes after the two parties parted ways in September after Highlanders’ exit from the CAF Confederation Cup against Royal AM.

A well-informed source within the black and white ensemble camp revealed that Managing Director Ally Kgomongwe is not happy with the performance of the club; hence he has taken a decision to bring back the former Free State Stars assistant coach.

“Sly might rejoin the team before the end of the week as he has been tipped as the possible candidate to beef up the technical bench. He might lead the team during the Swallows match,” said the source.

Highlanders Public Relations Officer Kenneth Dlamini said he was yet to learn about the news.

“Nothing has reached my office so far. What I know is that our MD is currently in talks with certain coaches as he stated before,” he said.

Meanwhile , Mosala could not be reached for comment as he did not respond to the text messages sent to him.

It has been reliably gathered that the ‘Black Bull’ travelled to Pretoria yesterday for a mini-camp ahead of the derby and the team is expected to return before the end of the week together with Mosala.

The latest move has ended speculations which had earlier linked Highlanders with three South African coaches in Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba, Benedict Vilakazi and So?ly Luvhengo.

Meanwhile, current head coach Dumisani ‘DU’ Makhanya is set to be redeployed to be assistant coach, while Moluka Masilonyane will remain the physical trainer, according to insiders.

Coming back to the strength of the squad, Sihlangu Semnikati centre-back Peter ‘Beast’ Dlamini will miss the crucial match as he is still nursing an injury, which he picked up recently.
