“Stop lying that eSwatini was involved in an attempt to overthrow the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC) Government”,Times editor Mfankhona Nkambule blasts political activists

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mfankhona Nkambule, the editor of the Times of eSwatini came hard on those alleging that, eSwatini was involved in the attempt to overthrow the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC),masterminded by Christian Malanga,an alleged friend to eSwatini Defense Principal Secretary(PS)Prince Sicalo.

In an article published on Sunday, the editor accused political activists of lying about the country, he said unlike them, he would not lie about his country for a few Facebook likes and comments.

“I cannot lie about my home country just because I want to get 100 Facebook likes and 230 comments. If the failed coup was planned in Eswatini, a landlocked country, where did they pass with the guns on their way to DRC?”,the editor said in his opinion article.

The editor then warned the political activists that, after condemning the attempt to overthrow and remove the DRC Government unconstitutionally, they must also stop trying to use unconstitutional means to remove the eSwatini Government.

Christian Malanga, an alleged friend to eSwatini Defense Principal Secretary Prince Sicalo was killed in the DRC while attempting to overthrow DRC President Felix Tshisekedi.

The coup was allegedly planned in eSwatini and some of the DRC rebels who received training in eSwatini before participating in the coup, were allegedly provided with State documents including passports by the eSwatini authorities.

The People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) has urged the Southern African Development Community(SADC) to investigate the alleged involvement of the Prince and the eSwatini Government in the attempted DRC coup.
