Africa-Press – Eswatini. Premier League side Tambuti FC are selling their top flight football status ahead of the new season kick-off, possibly in September, ending its seven-year stay in the MTN Premier League.

The Lubombo-based side have followed in the footsteps of Vovovo FC, who handed over their status to Nsingizini Hotspurs at the beginning of last season.

Tambuti Chairman and Premier League of Eswatini member Rudolph Matsenjwa confirmed the news.

“There will be no Tambuti FC next season after seven stints in the Premier league. We are still in talks with several potential suitors I cannot reveal for now and further details of the process will be revealed in due course,” he said.

The potential suitors are likely to be confirmed next month during the Premier League of Eswatini Annual General Meeting.

The green and black outfit once reached the EswatiniBank semi-finals twice under the leadership of Matsenjwa and it previously signed several foreign players such as Fabrice Mopina (DR Congo), Reagen Kagumbu (DR Congo) Oguchukwu Ohakwe (Nigeria), Pa Kwesi (Ghana) and Gabriel Goshen (Nigeria), to mention a few.

It has further produced several local players such as Mpendulo Ngidi,Mlamuli Makhanya Bhekinkhosi Mlotsa, Ayanda Gadlela and Ncedo Mamba, among others.
