Africa-Press – Eswatini. The University of Eswatini’s Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, is conducting an outreach program in the Lubombo region as part of its commitment to serve the community.

The program, which began on Monday (April 8, 2024) and will conclude on Friday (April 12, 2024), is designed to provide educational and professional development opportunities to students and community members in the region.

According to information shared on the University’s Facebook page, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering has been conducting a series of visits to local high schools, engaging students in interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and informative sessions.

The sessions have focused on the real-world applications of electrical and electronic engineering, with a specific focus on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Electronics. The department hopes to inspire students to pursue careers in these fields and contribute to the advancement of technology.

It is stated that the university is thrilled to spark curiosity in students, highlight the importance of girls in engineering, and provide opportunities for students to explore the latest technologies in the field. Through these activities, the department hopes to inspire the next generation of innovators and help shape the future of engineering. They also aim to empower students to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
