Africa-Press – Eswatini. Alpheous Nxumalo,the Government Spokesperson is busy these days trying to intimidate sources who leaked State documents of the Eswatini Financial Intelligence exposing allegations of money-laundering by high profile people among others.
The documents, were leaked to international investigative journalists affiliated to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists(ICIJ) and Government Spokesperson is struggling to explain the serious allegations except to threaten sources and insult the international journalists with racist statements.
Well, let me assure the sources who leaked the documents that nothing will happen to them, this is just a frustration by Government Spokesperson Alpheous NxumaloThe sources are encouraged to leak more documents to the international journalists,political thieves and criminals who strive by thretening the media must be exposed.
Well, if we can grab Alpheous Nxumalo’s cellphone, we can find that in one way or the other,he is a source himself and no one is intimidating him for leaking State information to those around him.
In January 2024, I was able to survive as the Tinkhundla regime was about to kidnap me because Nxumalo leaked information through his social media platform saying Government was working with South African police to apprehend me, PUDEMO President Mlungisi Makhanya and lawyer Sicelo Mngomezulu.
After investigating the threats, we realized that, Nxumalo sourced the information from the State Intelligence agency and this information was very helpful to us to investigate and find out what was really happening.
Indeed, the pro-democracy movement and independent journalism might be weak and boring without Nxumalo’s verbal diarrhea, he once accused this publication of working towards getting him fired, that is not true.
Indeed, Nxumalo is an indirect pillar of the efforts to democratize this country, he scores political own goals even at international level.
Nxumalo is actually a source who leak State information, why did he rush to publish that?.
Police were about to apprehend me and if he was not leaking information, I wouldn’t have escape.
Whether he did that intentionally or by mistake the truth is; he leaked the information through his online platforms.
qNxumalo also leaks State information while under the influence of alcohol, he once dated a young woman I know who alerted me after he invited her, while with the woman, he leaked sensitive State information.
Therefore,Alpheous Nxumalo must not try to play dirty and threaten sources who are the lifeblood of journalism.
Should government continue to harass individuals saying they leaked information, we will show Nxumalo what we are capable of, he must ask former Army Commander Jeffery Shabalala who thought he was the master of intelligence.
It’s not difficult for some of us to allocate resources and monitor a person from morning to sunset, Nxumalo leaked State information to a woman after getting drunk and the information is with me, how can he then investigate journalism sources because he is also a source either directly or indirectly.
