Borrowing from the words of Muammar Ghadaffi, Sihlangu Semnikati head coach Dominic Kunene says he has a master- plan to dismantle Bafana Bafana.
The two sides will face off tomorrow at Princess Magogo Stadium in the last Group A match.
Kunene’s troops approach this match in improved spirits after they defied all odds and defeated Namibia 2-1 on Saturday. Midfielders Sifiso Matse and Bongwa Matsebula catapulted the team to stardom.
“It’s going to be a tough match against South Africa. However, we have a plan for them. We know their strengths and weaknesses. I will keep that plan a secret until we unleash it during match day,” the coach said, beaming with confidence.
The former Young Buffaloes mentor added that the injuries suffered by goalkeeper Ncamiso ‘Mbhonyo’ Dlamini and Sabelo ‘Skhali’ Ndzinisa were not that serious.
“We will wait for feedback from the doctors,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sihlangu legend and SuperSport analyst, William ‘Cool Cat’ Shongwe has praised Kunene for Saturday’s win.
“I like Dominic’s attitude. He didn’t entertain what people were saying about him. Today, the team played well as they created a lot of chances. It wasn’t the hit and run kind of football.
“Defensively, we were better after he brought back Mamba (‘Sithobela’). We however lost it in the second half,”said the former Kaizer Chiefs and Manzini Wanderers goalkeeper.
Shongwe further talked about the upcoming clash against South Africa.
“We have a chance to bag maximum points if we can play with structured transitions. Bafana Bafana doesn’t have those speedy players,” he said.
The nation’s pride will have its last training session this afternoon at Northwood Crusaders 1.
