Africa-Press – Eswatini. Wandile Dludlu, the Secretary General of the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) says they have launched a new activity that will see their members visiting churches led by Pastors aligned to the Tinkhundla regime.
This comes after King’s Secretary Pastor Sihle Dlamini came out to defend the Tinkhundla regime on his social media platforms.
On Sunday, the PUDEMO Secretary General said this activity would be known as ‘PUDEMO Sunday’
“This is an activists based activity meant to challenge either the complacency of the church or apparent silence in the face of injustice perpetrated by the State.Jesus never kept quiet when the Roman Empire oppressed masses or any regime he came across. So which God are Pastors serving which turns to be indifferent in the face of oppression?” he said.
On Sunday, PUDEMO members visited King’s Secretary Pastor Sihle Dlamini’s church, the Jesus Calls Worship Centre (JCWC) which is led by royalty linked Apostle Robert Kasaro.
Efforts to reach Bishop Robert Kasaro who is also the President of the Eswatini Conference of Churches (ECC) proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
The church has been silent since the beginning of the unrest after King Mswati unleashed his forces to shoot and kill dozens of civilians merely for demanding democratic reforms.
