
Africa-Press – Eswatini. Ntombi ‘Sishoshovu’ LaNgwenya,a women rights activist in the Shiselweni region led other activists at Nhlangano Magistrates Court in a protest,demanding justice for police officer Tigezile Magongo who was allegedly killed by her husband Mayor Mashumi Shongwe.
Speaking to the press current affairs programme on Monday,LaNgwenya said women and other sympathizers arrived in numbers to demand justice for the deceased police officer.
“We had activists from SWAGAA,Liphimbo LaboMake eSwatini,One Billion,Mathendele GBV and others from the Magongo clan who are relatives of the victim,they were wearing t-shirts with pictures of the deceased,”she said.
Nhlangano Mayor Mashumi Shongwe appeared in court on Monday facing murder charges,he allegedly killed his wife Tigezile-Magongo Shongwe.
