Africa-Press – Eswatini. Samson Sithole, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise(EWADE), has confirmed an intention to award a R150million Mpakeni Dam tender to ZTCS, a Joint Venture involving a Chinese company Zhengtai Group.
Responding on Sunday, the CEO applauded Chinese companies for providing quality construction services, EWADE is a State owned entity overseeing the construction of the Mpakeni Dam.
“We can confirm that EWADE has published an intention to award the tender to ZTCS, a Joint Venture involving Zhengtai Group, a Chinese company and Cherry Splash (Pty)Ltd,” said the CEO.
On another note, the CEO said the new Mpakeni Dam tender awarded to ZTCS Joint Venture, is known as the “Secondary Distribution System” adding that, the construction of the Dam is ongoing.
“The Secondary Distribution System is funded by OPEC International Development Fund and, the funders approved the tendering process that resulted to the Chinese company winning the tender,” said the CEO.
