Africa-Press – Eswatini. Khisimusi Ndlovu, the former Deputy National Commissioner of Police was recorded by a source within the Masundvwini Inner Council(Bandlancane) community thretening to shoot and kill editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.

This comes after the editor published a story where uMgijimi Steven Magongo was accused of selling a home belonging to an orphan Sibonokuhle Langa, documents suggest that, Magongo pocketed four hundred and fifty thousand Rands(R450,000.00) after selling the home.

King Mswati’s right-hand man Sigodvo Motsa subsequently told the editor that, the home has been returned to the rightful owner and apologized.

“The King appointed us to take care of the poor and vulnerable and indeed, the home that you reported about has been returned to the orphan. Siyacolisa silibandla ngalendzaba”, he said.

But former National Commissioner Khisimusi Ndlovu subsequently addressed a secret Inner Council meeting saying, even though the home has been returned to the orphan, it was wrong to apologize to the editor.

“Lona nje sewufuna inhlavu, atsi uyatihambela nje lena lapha akhona-akhona eve kukhala inhlavu”, said the former senior cop who was recorded by another Inner Council member.

On another note, editor Zweli Martin Dlamini said, he was not intimidated by former Deputy National Commissioner adding that, throughout his journalism career, he has been threatened several times.

”It’s part of my duties as a journalist to be the voice of the voiceless particularly when those who are rich and powerful, abuse both political and traditional power to oppress the poor and vulnerable,” said the editor.
