Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Mayor of Addis Ababa city, Adanech Abiebie held discussion with the delegation from Chongqing City, China, led by the vice chairman of the People’s Congress, ChinZhao Shiqing.

“We had a fruitful meeting with the delegation from Chongqing City, China, led by the vice chairman of the People’s Congress, ChinZhao Shiqing,” the mayor said on X.

She elaborated that both sides agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and uplift relations from friendly cities to sister cities.

“Consequentially, we will sign a sisterhood agreement soon,” Mayor Adanech stated.

We also agreed to cooperate in the areas of economic cooperation, technology transfer, technical and vocational education, providing scholarships, culture, and tourism, she added.

Adanech stated that “We are grateful for the visit and the discussion held.”
