Africa-Press – Ethiopia. The African Union Permanent Representative to the UN Office and World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, Girma Amente, met with the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), Claver Gatete.
Their discussions underscored the importance of enhancing Africa’s global position by speaking with ONE voice across key areas such as trade, regional integration and advancing Africa’s Intellectual Property agenda.
Girma Amente, who served as Ethiopia’s Minister of Agriculture until last month, has recently been appointed as the African Union’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office and the WTO in Geneva.
