Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Djiboutian delegation led by the President of Djibouti National Assembly, Dileita Mohamed Dileita visited the National Museum of Ethiopia.
The delegation has visited anthropological and archeological findings as well as historical heritages that depict the origin of human race and Ethiopia’s civilization at the museum.
Ethiopian Authority for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritage (ARCCH) Director-General, Abebaw Ayalew escorted and briefed the delegation about the archeological and historical heritages in museum.
Djibouti National Assembly President, Dileita Mohamed Dileita for his part expressed joy for visiting the museum.
The National Museum of Ethiopia is a repository of the country’s cultural, historical, and archaeological treasures. It is also recognized for housing significant paleoanthropological exhibits.
The National Museum is famous for its archaeological findings, particularly early hominid fossils like “Lucy,” a partial skeleton of Australopithecus afarensis.
More recent additions to the collection include “Selam,” another archaic fossil dating back to around 3.3 million years ago.
Djiboutian delegation led by the President of Djibouti National Assembly, Dileita Mohamed Dileita is in Addis Ababa for official working visit to Ethiopia.
The delegation had visited Ethiopian Airlines, the largest network operating carrier in Africa, on Wednesday. It also discussed with the House of People’s Representatives Speaker, Tagesse Chafo on bilateral cooperation.
In a speech, Djibouti National Assembly President, Dileita Mohamed Dileita, delivered to Ethiopia’s House of People’s Representatives today said Ethiopia has a symbolic and unique status in Africa expressing his country’s desire to further bolster bilateral cooperation in all areas.
