Ethio-American Journalist Says Journalism Failed in Covering Conflict in Ethiopia

Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Some of the international media outlets have been supporting the propaganda of terrorist TPLF by ignoring the voices of more than 100 million people in Ethiopia and Eritrea, Ethio-American journalist Hermela Aregawi said.

“We saw how journalism failed when covering the yearlong conflict in Ethiopia supporting the propaganda of the terrorist TPLF group who are trying to overthrow the democratically elected government of Ethiopia,” Hermela twitted.

She also said that “We saw stories that ignored the voices of more than 100 million people in Ethiopia and Eritrea.”

This has been witnessed before around the world so “we know that the Horn of Africa is not the first but we hope it will be the last,” she added.

Hermela, who is also Tgrayan, called all Ethiopians in the Diasporas to actively participate in the international rallies on Sunday organized to condemn foreign meddling in the internal affairs of Ethiopia.

Ethiopians across the world are coming together in impressive show of global unity in defense of Ethiopian sovereignty under the slogan, NoMore meddling, lies, disinformation, war, sanctions on Ethiopia and Horn of Africa, Ethiopian Ambassador to the US Fisum Arega twitted.

The rallies are expected to be held in more than 27 major cities globally today.
