Africa-Press – Ethiopia. The European Union (EU), France Development Agency and the Ethiopian government signed a 32 million Euro Financial support agreement.
The support is intended for food security projects and agriculture rehabilitation measures in conflict-affected regions of Ethiopia of which 18 million is funded by French Development Agency while the EU covers the rest of 14 million Euro.
According to Ethiopian Ministry of Finance indicated that the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Transformation (ATI) will implement the project in conflict-affected northern Ethiopia, particularly in Tigray, Amhara, and Afar regions.
It is going to provide farmers with the necessary resources to restart production and rehabilitate the service infrastructure in order to avoid an unprecedented crisis.
