Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz have discussed on issues of common interest earlier today, ahead of the G20 Compact with Africa (CwA) Summit.
Premier Abiy said I held a constructive bilateral meeting with Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin to further strengthen the political and economic ties between our two countries.
“We agreed to expand cooperation in clean energy, Foreign Direct Investment, fertilizer production, and regional security issues,” the prime minister indicated on his Face-book page.
The two sides conferred on areas of bilateral cooperation, domestic and regional issues, it was learned.
Ethiopia and Germany enjoy close cooperation on matters of climate change, energy, education, regional peace and security.
It is to be recalled that the two leaders met earlier this year during the Chancellor’s visit to Ethiopia.
