Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Ethiopian Airlines Cargo has been recognized as a major logistics partner in the development of the China–Belgium–Europe logistics bridge, underscoring its growing role in connecting global markets across Asia, Europe, and Africa.
The recognition was conferred during a ceremony organized by the Belgian Government, in collaboration with the China Logistics Association, held in Guangzhou, China.
Ethiopian Airlines Cargo was honored for its contribution to strengthening efficient, reliable, and seamless cargo connectivity along one of the world’s most critical trade corridors.
Over the past year, the airline operated more than 2,256 dedicated cargo flights, transporting over 140 million kilograms of freight on the China–Belgium–China route. These operations have played a vital role in supporting international trade, reinforcing global supply chains, and enabling time-sensitive logistics.
The award highlights Ethiopian Airlines Cargo’s strategic importance in bridging key global markets, driven by its modern freighter fleet, expanding cargo network, and strong partnerships with international logistics providers.
The recognition further reinforces Ethiopian Airlines Cargo’s position as a leading global air cargo carrier and a critical player in facilitating intercontinental trade and economic cooperation.
