Gov’t to Take Firm Measures on Criminals Massacring Citizens, Traffickers: Demeke Mekonen

Africa-PressEthiopia. Addis Ababa,December 25/2020(ENA)Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Demeke Mekonen said the government will take strong measures against criminals who commit cruel attacks on innocent citizens.

Addressing the annual meeting of the National Council for the Prevention and Control of Human Trafficking today, Demeke condemned the recent heinous massacres of citizens for not being the true manifestations of Ethiopian values.

“Everyone should stop and think about what is happening at the moment and where it would lead,” he noted.

Demeke underlined that his government will take strong measures on elements engaged in massacring citizens.

He urged all stakeholders to act together so as to end such dreadful trends witnessed in the country and hunt down criminals as well as expose greedy traffickers.
