Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held a productive bilateral meeting with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, to discuss reinforcing global cooperation and advancing shared priorities.
The Prime Minister confirmed the successful discussion through a social media post following the engagement, emphasizing the importance of strengthened collaboration between Ethiopia and the international body.
PM Abiy Ahmed stated directly on the outcomes “I held a productive bilateral meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the sidelines of the G20 Summit, where we discussed strengthening multilateral cooperation and advancing shared global priorities, including climate action, peace and security, and sustainable development. ”
“We also discussed support for Ethiopia as the host of COP32 in 2027.”, PM Abiy posted.
