Africa-Press – Ethiopia. President Taye Atsek Selassie attended the state funeral of former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Upon his arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, President Taye was received by high-ranking Kenyan officials and the Ethiopian Ambassador to Kenya, Bacha Debele.
The national state funeral ceremony took place at the Nanayo National Stadium in Nairobi, where leaders and dignitaries from various countries were in attendance.
According to the schedule, Odinga’s funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in his hometown of Bondo.
Odinga passed away at the age of 80 while receiving medical treatment in India.
