Africa-Press – Ethiopia. The second congress of Prosperity Party (PP) directions will interlace the past and present experiences as well as future prospects, Head of the Democracy System Building Coordination Center with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister and PP Vice President said.
The second congress of PP kicked off today under the theme “From Pledge to Practice”.
The congress marked a pivotal moment in Ethiopia’s political trajectory as the Prosperity Party has become the largest party in Africa.
The congress is also witnessing a significant gathering in Addis Ababa as leaders from sister political parties across various nations have attended the congress.
In his opening remark, Vice President Adem said PP has been able to create a new era of resolving the contradictions in Ethiopian body politic through its fair and balanced principles and interweaving narratives.
He added that Prosperity has proved its inclusivity and multinationalism by embracing every Ethiopian.
He said that he is working to ensure the participation and benefit of all Ethiopians in a fair and sustainable manner.
Believing that strengthening the culture of democracy and fostering the values of brotherhood and sisterhood are essential, Adem said is working to ensure the participation and benefit of all Ethiopians in a fair and sustainable manner.
The Vice President emphasized that PP along the years have practically proven its commitment of turning pledges to practice by confronting challenges head on through mobilizing the public.
The party advocates for sustainably turning challenges to opportunities and continuously uplifting the country’s dreams, it was indicated.
Results of the party’s first congress pledges and public satisfaction will be evaluated, he noted.
Adem also mentioned success stories that PP has executed as part of its commitment to the Ethiopian public by making the country a wheat exporter for the first time through enhancing the overall production and productivity.
He also went on to mention the nearing completion of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) as a success under the leadership of the ruling Prosperity Party.
