Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Revenue of the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise (ESLSE) has increased from 17 billion Birr to 48 billion Birr over the past reform years, Chief Executive Officer Beriso Amelo disclosed.

According to the CEO, the Homegrown Economic Reform has significantly improved the organization’s capacity.

The implementation of clear policies and strategies that streamline the institution’s operations has played a role in its effectiveness.

He recalled that the institution lacked adequate policy support and had been facing challenges before the reform.

The operational and organizational gaps also prevented the institution from contributing its share to the country’s economy.

Beriso pointed out that a National Logistics Council was established following the economic reform measures taken after the national reform.

The CEO said the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise is providing services through 350 dry ports.
