Africa-Press – Ethiopia. The construction of the Sorga Eco Lodge, a landmark project situated on the serene shores of Sorga Lake, is advancing with remarkable momentum, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.
Located a mere 6 kilometers from Nekemte city and spanning 14 hectares, the project represents a significant stride in the nation’s commitment to expanding its tourism footprint while fostering local economic vitality.
In a social media post regarding the project’s progress, PM Abiy Ahmed said “…, the lodge is designed to preserve the local environment while creating jobs for skilled professionals in construction and hospitality. It will support the surrounding community and promote sustainable tourism in the region.”
The lodge is envisioned as a sanctuary that harmonizes modern hospitality with environmental stewardship.
