Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Islamic republic of Iran , Mahdi Safari, At the international scientific and economic cooperation meeting between Iran and West African countries, which was held at the center of radio and television conferences in Iran, referring to the words of the Supreme Leader of Islamic republic of Iran regarding the expansion of economic cooperation with neighboring countries and especially the African continent, said:”in the 13th government Priority was placed on the development of economic diplomacy with neighbors, increasing trade with the African continent was emphasized, and follow-up in this field was on the agenda.”

He added “the 13th government paid attention to the development of relations with Africa, especially the west of the continent, not only in the field of trade, but also in cultural, scientific, technology transfer and knowledge-based indicators.”

The Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated that “Iran’s economy complements each other in terms of science and technology with existing mines in Africa, and emphasized: If we have good technology in the field of mines and we can complement each other with existing capacities, we can establish cooperation in various cases.”

Referring to the fact that Iranian youth has achieved a good position in the field of technology despite the sanctions, Safari said “We have achieved great achievements in nano, biotechnology and IT, which are the sciences of the day, and we are also among the top five countries in medical equipment and medicine. We are considered the world and we have gained significant capabilities in surgery, anesthesia and related training.”

Referring to his visit to the countries of Mali and Guinea, he stated “There is a lot of interest in the development of exchanges that we can benefit from.”

The Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also said”One of the ways to develop relations is to create joint industrial estates to increase cooperation, which can lead to the growth of trade, and its increase is infinite considering the existing capacity.”
