Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Commissioner of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), Filippo Grande, praised Ethiopia for its policy on refugees.
Filippo, who met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen in New York, appreciated Ethiopia for receiving and hosting the Sudanese refugees in a very human manner.
He also appealed for donors to scale up their support to refugees in Ethiopia.
Demeke who is attending the UN General Assembly in New York made successful discussion with a host of delegations from various countries on regional issues of mutual interest, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
