Africa-Press – Gambia. In a bold reflection of The Gambia’s music scene, Mustapha S. Koli widely known by his former stage name DJ One Africa has produced a powerful new promotional anthem for Comium Gambia, using AI technology. The track, titled Comium, We Connect, blends Afrobeat rhythms with a Gambian flair and, though not yet released to the public, is already generating buzz for its strong message of national pride, affordable communication and reliable connectivity.

A seasoned broadcaster and music DJ, Mustapha is no stranger to the airwaves. He served with the Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS) for years, earning recognition for his dynamic voice and DJ skills, and for his dedication to both local and international programmes.

After his radio career, he transitioned into public service and currently works at the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare, following the Bureau’s transformation into a full-fledged Ministry.

Now, with Comium, We Connect, Koli is reconnecting with his creative roots, using music to link Comium to the grassroots on issues that matter most in communication service delivery.

“The song is more than a jingle. It’s a message to Gambians that connectivity shouldn’t come at a high cost,” Koli said. “Comium offers reliable service, solid coverage and affordable rates that speak to the realities of the average Gambian. It’s a network that empowers, not exploits.”

The anthem captures key elements of Comium’s relaunch, from cheap call rates, strong network and student-friendly data bundles to dependable internet speeds for small business owners. But Koli says the song is also about something deeper: restoring pride and optimism in a modern Gambia’s communication space.

“It’s about Gambia rising,” he added. “The rhythm, the lyrics, the tone they all speak to a generation that’s ready to connect, to build, and to move forward. Comium is not just back; it comes to reign supreme and stay for good.”

Though unreleased, We Connect is expected to be well received by Comium’s management and Gambians alike. With its catchy hook, relatable message and clear delivery, the song is already positioned to make an impact. It is slated to play at community events and is expected to feature on local and national radio platforms once officially launched.

With DJ One Africa back on the mic and Comium pushing a people-first message, We Connect could become more than a campaign anthem it might just become a national symbol of connection in The Gambia. We Connect can be accessed via [email protected] or +220 600 8703.
