Africa-Press – Gambia. President Adama Barrow has effected a series of changes in his cabinet, with immediate effect, under sections 71(1) and 71(3) of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia.
Honourable Baboucar Ousmaila Joof, previously Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Defence.
In his place, Mr. Modou Ceesay, the country’s Auditor General, has been appointed as the new Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment.
The reshuffle also includes appointments within the audit sector. Mr. Cherno Amadou Sowe, formerly Director of Internal Audit, has been named Auditor General, while Mr. Masireh K. Drammeh has been appointed Acting Director of Internal Audit.
