Africa-Press – Gambia. There are currently 28,000 people in The Gambia living with HIV/AIDS, revealed NAS.

AIDS was discovered in The Gambia in 1986 and since then, the country finds it almost impossible to stamp it out thanks to multiple issues such as lack of funds and experts.

Ex-President Yahya Jammeh prays while administering his alleged herbal HIV cure to a patient at the State House in Banjul on February 15, 2007.

Meanwhile, The Gambia will join the international community to commemorate the World AIDS Day on Thursday.
