Africa-Press – Gambia. Sanna Manjang, accused of being a jungler for former President Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh, is expected to appear before Justice Sidi K. Jobarteh of the Banjul High Court.
Manjang is set to enter his plea on three counts of murder filed against him.
Court documents indicate that he is facing three counts of murder contrary to Section 187 of the Criminal Code, Cap 10:01, Volume 3, Laws of The Gambia, 2009.
According to the particulars of the offences, Count One alleges that Manjang, sometime in 2005 at Kanifing and other locations in The Gambia, with malice aforethought, caused the death of journalist Deyda Hydara by shooting him with a gun.
Count Two alleges that Manjang, in 2006 at Kanilai and other locations, with malice aforethought, caused the death of Ndongo Mboob by shooting him.
Count Three further alleges that Manjang, in 2006 at Kanilai and other locations, with malice aforethought, caused the death of Haruna Jammeh.
