All is set for the launching of a new book titled Servant of The People, written by a renowned Gambian author, Dr. Jeggan C. Senghor, a former senior research fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, School of Advanced Study, University of London, England.
The book – Servant of The People is a biography of the late Hon. Assan Musa Camara, GCRG former Vice President of The Gambia at the First Republic. The book will be launched along with a foundation dedicated to his ideals – Every Youth Counts, on Saturday, 14 September 2019 at QCity, Bijilo.
The launching of the book and foundation will be witnessed by different dignitaries as the book will be reviewed by Alhaji Fafa Edrissa M’bai, erudite barrister and former attorney general and minister of Justice. The chief launcher is His Lordship, Hon. Hassan B. Jallow, Chief Justice, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Prosecutor, International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.
The book traces the life times of Hon. Camara who was MP for Kantora from 1960 to 1987 and Vice President from 1972 to 1977 and from 1978 to 1982.
