Africa-Press – Gambia. After lifting spirits skyhigh in the farming community recently, President Adama Barrow has reneged on his promise to groundnut farmers that they would be extricated from their cash traps on 1 December and onwards.
During his Meet The People Tour lately, the Gambian leader promised peanut farmers that they would start receiving cash for their produce at the outset of December.
However, as December prepares to pack it stuff to give room to January, groundnut farmers across the country are still waiting on the President to fulfill his promise of buying their harvests.
